Happy new week!

𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢:  Started the week off strong with some motivation to work on my Chuck E Cheese shadow box! I finished painting the checkers on the outside, pasted some color pictures around the perimeter, and adhered some of my personal pictures and memorabilia inside ^^ My goal is to obtain more tickets and tokens to line the inside of the box, but I love how it’s turning out. I also have to drill in a D-ring to hang the tray from the wall, but I’ll likely do that at the very end.

𝚃𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚍𝚊𝚢: Saw Backrooms at a beautiful Regal Edwards theatre. Here are some commemorative pictures.

I also made some strides were made on a few wearables ^^ I added to that tote bag project I had started, and adhered a few of the pieces. I think I want to add a background layer to a few of the cut outs, and finalize with some sewing but that shouldn’t take too long. I’m still without a sewing machine, so I plan to do it by hand.

As I was wrapping up, I did get a little inspired at the thought of sewing a little doll or character to add to the mix so maybe I’ll do that too <3 I also set aside some ribbons I’ve had and may weave those through the strap of the bag, or run them along the top of the tote, or maybe just tie one in a bow on the front. I want the tote wrapped up by this week though, so you’ll see the finished product next week <3

I also finished this shirt I bleach stamped with a lino cut I made. It kinda looks like guts and I like how they don’t all look the same.

𝚆𝚎𝚍𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚍𝚊𝚢  & 𝚃𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚜𝚍𝚊𝚢:

I finally started on a new metal head piece! I ended up scrapping the last one for parts and started on this one instead. I’ve been collecting pop tabs for a few months now and have plenty to use for projects, so this will be the first of many :)

I loooove the progress I’ve been making. I still have some layers to go, but I’m getting the hang of adding in layers like this. It’s tedious and time-consuming but I’m really enjoying myself.

I also re-worked some old Die Laughing necklaces I’ve had in my inventory. I like them a lot better after some little adjustments. I’d like to do more alterations on more old projects- I’ll probably go through the jewelry I have and see what can be done.

𝙵𝚛𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚢 & 𝚂𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚍𝚊𝚢 & 𝚂𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢: I spent the weekend on some birthday projects <3 I may as well not mention these because I can’t share them, but I love how they’re turning out so much I really just can’t wait to share. I finished the first and the second and third are really rounding out :,) those will be featured in an end of the month/beginning of August blog for sure! ⋆。°✩

I also spent Saturday night trying out my new roller skates outside my front door. I haven’t fallen a whole lot yet, so I think I may be missing the point a little. Not like I’m really complaining, but I think I’ll need to take some risks in the coming weekends. Until then, here's a glimpse of my cutie new skates I thought I’d share with you

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚔: finish tote bag/ face and head jewelry/ paint some purses?

Lots of tying up loose ends and maybe if that ends up feeling really nice and satisfactory I’ll start some new projects I have no business starting.

I hope your week was full of strides and maybe even some risks

Thanks for stopping by

xoxo
