Happy Mondayyyyy 

I did a lot of sewing over the week ^^ 

this skrunkly little cat in the first picture is the result of a new little cat doodle design. I accidentally made the base of her tail a little thin and ended up stuffing it with scraps, string, and beans – hence why it looks like a scrunched up, empty sausage casing. I think I want to call her “Sausages”. I might open up a stitch or two to add a pipe cleaner to give some definition but idk yet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I haven’t sewn in a while and so happy I did. I went through a pretty long era of doll-making in middle school and I loved it so dearly. I often gave what I made as gifts :) I only kept one for myself, and am not sure where she ended up, but I loved her so much. She was made from black and beige felt scraps, 2 silver buttons, and was stuffed with rice I think? I was pretty limited on materials at the time, but always made the most of what I had and feel like the minimal nature of my assets really encouraged my creativity. I have so much to work with now, sometimes I get overwhelmed by choice ꩜__𖦹 I have a lot of cute fabric besides felt, though. I do want to put more to good use ₊⁺♡‌₊⁺


This is what the doll I had made myself looked like. I’d love to re-make her sometime and I’d never lose her again.

While going through my materials I also found these felt girl heads I made a while ago, and just never did anything with. I think I had considered sewing them on a tote bag, or making them into little plush keychains, but just never did. I made some new heads, too, while I was touching up some of the older ones :) (newer are in first pic, the older are the other 2)

I love the idea of a tote bag or purse with one or maybe a few of these on there so maybe I’ll pursue that idea further! I know I have a few blank purses in the closet- I’ll take a peek and see if I can put something cute together <3

Lastly, I free-handed these two little felt girls :] I love how they turned out, I think they’re so cute :,) they feel reminiscent of the little doll I once had that I referenced earlier- just in the way they have cute little dresses and simple features.


I kind of want to make some to give out, or maybe even some for my friends. I may not even add faces because I like their simple nature, but idk maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

unrelated to sewing- I re-lined the text on my new baby tee and I love it :3 thought I’d share xx

I want to sew more stuff this week! I re-drew Sausage’s outline and should be able to give her second iteration a proper tail. I doodled up a few new designs too so maybe I’ll give those a try :D
